Toronto condo moves: floors, elevators and timing
A short drive can still mean a long move when building access is difficult.

Before choosing a time, ask the property manager at both buildings about moving hours, elevator reservations, loading access, required insurance documents and any building fees or deposits. Rules differ between buildings.
Tell us the floor at both ends
Give the pickup floor and delivery floor separately. Say whether ground level is called floor 0 or floor 1 in your building. For stairs, report the actual number of flights and any narrow turns. A basement with outside steps needs its own description.
An elevator is more than a yes or no
Send the reserved time window, whether it is a dedicated service elevator, and the usable door and cabin measurements for large furniture. Mention the walk from the unit to the elevator and from the elevator to the truck. If there is no booking yet, say so.
Build the day around both time windows
Allow for collecting the rental truck, loading, driving and unloading. Do not make the second elevator slot depend on everything going perfectly at the first building. Tell the provider about a hard deadline before accepting a quote.
Photos that help
Show the lobby route, service elevator, stairs and landings, loading bay and large furniture. Keep private documents, faces and unit access codes out of photos. Photos support planning; they cannot establish hidden obstacles, item weight or guaranteed fit.
